2018-19 Wait List

We know it’s no fun to wait! We want to encourage families to reach out if you are curious about your spot on the waiting list, we’re always happy to answer those questions and to give you as much information as possible. At this point, school is starting in less than a month and our classrooms are totally full. Our toddler waiting list is starting to grow, but our Pre-K wait list is still relatively short. If you have not yet submitted an application, if you are open to mid-year enrollment, or if you’re interested in enrolling for the summer of 2019 or the 2019-20 school year, we suggest submitting an application as soon as possible. We will keep you posted about any openings that come available when we get to your child’s name on the list.

Our 2018-19 Group Tour Schedule will be announced in September for tours being offered October – December of this year. Enrollment for summer 2019 and the 2019-20 school year will begin in January 2019.

If you’ve already submitted your application, please feel free to check in and see where your child is on the list! Thanks for your patience.

It’s that time of year…The Garden classrooms (toddler & Pre-K) are now full and we are currently on a waiting list for the 2018-19 school year. If you are interested in enrolling your child at The Garden, we encourage you to submit an application as soon as possible to reserve his/her name on the waiting list (which is still very short!).

But, never fear! There is still hope…there is almost always movement on the waiting list over the summer. We serve many military families and oftentimes relocations will happen unexpectedly over the summer, opening up spaces for families on the waiting list. While we can’t guarantee a spot, we can assure you that your child will remain on the waiting list until one becomes available (or until you decide to remove his/her name). You DO NOT need to submit a new application every year, we offer rolling admissions, so even if we can’t place your child this year, s/he will still be at the top of the list for the next year.

Our group tours for the school year have now ended, individual tours will be offered once we have confirmed placement for your child. Group tours will begin again in the fall of 2018, a schedule is forthcoming.

2018-19 Enrollment: We’re Growing!

That’s right. We’re growing! The toddler program is expanding to include an additional classroom for 10-12 more students and the 3 & 4 year olds are moving on up to the Primary Classrooms at Moore Montessori Community School, where there will be 2 classrooms for children ages 3-6 (including Kindergartners). Read more about the mixed-age grouping in the Primary Classrooms HERE.

We will open enrollment for our current students and their siblings beginning January 15th, lottery applications will be accepted for MMCS for grades K-2 on the same day. The deadline to submit the online enrollment form for The Garden is February 1st. Deposits and fees are due March 1st. The MMCS enrollment deadline is March 15th, the lottery drawing will be held the following day to determine placement and families will be notified as soon as possible.

You can submit an application online HERE. We currently have a waiting list for our toddler classrooms as well as our primary classrooms, so if you have not yet submitted an application, we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Once the application fee is paid, your child’s name will be added to our current waiting list.

Summer Camp Enrollment begins February 1st!

JOIN US TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT OUR SCHOOL!

Are you interested in learning more about The Garden and seeing first-hand how Montessori works? Please sign up to join us for one of our group tours. You will be able to meet with administrators from The Garden and Moore Montessori Community School to find out all about how your child will bloom in this environment. We will offer a parent education session to give you an overview of The Montessori Method along with the specifics of our program. You will then get to sit quietly in the classroom and see how the children move about quietly and independently, choosing and completing their own work; you’ll observe how teachers prepare and manage their classrooms uniquely so that each child gets an individualized and balanced education. It is truly amazing and we want you to see it for yourself! You can sign-up for one of our group tours online HERE. We can’t wait to share with you the beauty of Montessori.

Charter School Parent Information Meeting : June 15

You are invited to our parent meeting to learn more about Moore Montessori Community School, the free public Montessori Charter school that is on track to open for the 2018-19 school year. Katie Rucker, who is leading the organization of this huge project and has been working hard to bring all of the details together over the last two years, will be there to provide information and answer questions for anyone who may be interested in enrolling their child next year or in the years to come.
We will meet at The Garden (895 Linden Rd, Pinehurst) at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15th in the Sanctuary. Camp will be in session, so we will be unable to provide child care for children who are not enrolled in camps, however, Katie has said she is happy to meet or connect with parents individually upon request. Please feel free to forward this information to parents you know who may be interested, but please let them know they should contact us to RSVP.
Please respond to this email if you would like to attend. Since it will be during camp hours, for security purposes, we will need to have all attendees previously approved for entry into the school building.
