A Campus That Teaches
The grounds are part of the learning that children are immersed in every day. Goats, chickens, and ducks will be daily companions, offering children real responsibility and genuine connection to the animals in their care. A large kitchen garden yields food and flowers with the help of our honeybee colonies. Wild scuppernong grapes, blackberries, and mushrooms invite children into the ancient practice of foraging — learning to read the land with curiosity and confidence. Regular walking field trips to a nearby farm will deepen that connection throughout the year.
Our indoor classrooms are designed to flow seamlessly into the outdoor environment, giving children the freedom to move, explore, and engage with their learning in fresh air and natural light.

Infant & Toddler
Ages 1–3. A gentle first community, calm and prepared for little hands to explore care, movement, and language.
Children’s House
Ages 3–6. A time for children to learn to do real things for themselves. Tending animals, working the garden, and falling in love with reading and math along the way.
Lower Elementary
Ages 6–9. Children start asking the big questions, where life came from, how the world works, what people have built, and our working farm offers real answers through hands-on experiences in the barnyard, creekbed and gardens.
Afternoon Adventure Club
A Reggio-inspired afternoon of play, music, art, and outdoor exploration, with nature woven through the day. Children follow seasonal themes through creative work, stories, animals, gardens, creek play, and time outside.
A family cooperative for Wild Hearts.
This year we are hosting a parent-facilitated, outdoor cooperative preschool program on the Farm. Modeled after our Wild Hearts Nature School program, we are now enrolling ages 1–6 years for the 26–27 school year.
Summer camp.
Ages 1–9. A summer on the farm, the way childhood should feel.
Children spend their days tending animals, caring for plants, exploring the woods, running through sprinklers in the fields, and cooling their feet in the creek bed. Each week blends outdoor play with art, music, sensory work, nature study, and seasonal themes, giving children room to wander, make, listen, splash, dig, sing, and grow.
