“Let the children be free; encourage them; let them run outside when it is raining; let them remove their shoes when they find a puddle of water; and when the grass of the meadows is wet with dew, let them run on it and trample it with their bare feet; let them rest peacefully when a tree invites them to sleep beneath its shade; let them shout and laugh when the sun wakes them.”

~Dr. Maria Montessori

Our summer camp is a place where little Wild Hearts come to be set free. Campers become explorers as they discover the many natural wonders to be found across the several acres of open fields and wooded forests; they are gardeners who sow seeds, tend to their plants and harvest their bounty. They are artists molding clay and painting to their heart’s content, musicians and performers casting their songs into the wide open sky. Everyday they have the opportunity to be builders, scientists, zookeepers, chefs, yogis, storytellers but perhaps most important of all, they get to be children because all of this is fueled by only nature and their own imaginations; with a little help from their trained and capable guides, their own curiosity will lead them anywhere they wish to go.
